The term “social proof” came later and in 1984 and it was given by Robert Cialdini but this behaviour of a human in which one person is easily influenced by the group of people is studied since the beginning of 20th century. Muzafer Sherif, a social psychologist in the year 1935 discovered a difference between the opinion of the person who makes his decision by watching others and also people who don’t do that.
